About The SCOTTCast

The Super Colorful Original Telecommunicated Transmission, otherwise known as SCOTTCast, is an ongoing comedy podcast started in 2017.

It started in a dank, dark room in Sunny Hamtramck in a haze of IPA’s and poor life choices. Hosted by Scott Kraus and a rotating cast of co-conspirators (most notably Ian and David), SCOTTCast quickly evolved into something stranger, looser, and more unhinged than anyone anticipated.

We talk weird news. We swap personal stories. We go off on tangents that should’ve been cut—but weren’t. Sometimes there are games. Sometimes there are arguments. Sometimes we learn something. Usually, we don’t.

SCOTTCast isn’t for everyone. It’s a slow-burning, semi-structured, occasionally insightful descent into creative chaos—and that’s just how we like it.

Come for the laughs. Stay for the increasingly elaborate inside jokes. And if you ever figure out what this show is, let us know. We’re still trying to pin it down.

Our Hosts

Scott from SCOTTCast

“Scott From SCOTTCast” Scott Kraus

People assume the podcast is named after him, but this is just coincidence. Born in the suburbs, gone wild in Sunny Hamtramck, put on life support in Buenos Aires, and now totally lost in a triple landlocked state, Scott hosts, edits, and overall instigates The Super Colorful Original Telecommunicated Transmission with a tenacity that defies practical explanation. His various peccadilloes include hatred of ellipsis, love for Jurassic Park, and an indefatigable sense that his own voice is worth listening to.

“Fan Favorite” Ian Dixon

Largely considered the voice of reason, as such he marks the most appearances on SCOTTCast with the least time on mic. A follower of Freud and lover of schlock, his insights ground the show somewhere between absurdity and poignancy, without which the whole enterprise would have fallen into shambles before the first episode ever hit the world wide web.

“Sneaky D” David Vanderheyden

A man of science, puns, and palpable discomfort with silence, Sneaky D brings an energy you won’t find with anyone else. The third tier of The Triumvirate, David knows his place as savior and whipping boy, and has promised to sacrifice his well-sculpted body on the stinger of “taintsploitation” in Ian’s planned debut film, Zombeez.
